This is my Guernica piece. Everyone in the class was given a small 4"x4" square, and we were collectively instructed to blow it up to an 8"x8" square by hand. The process was somewhat stressful considering that we never knew how our piece would line up with it's neighboring pieces. The whole experience was very fun in the end though. It required a lot of communication and skill building and got everyone in the class participating.
The main skill that I worked on with this project was my communication skill. Before the final product was complete, we all had to find where our piece fit into the mural, and see how well it lined up with our bordering pieces. Where there were rough connections and inconsistencies, we decided who would change what aspects of the sketches so that the pieces would fit together more smoothly.
